Stephanie Leger

Stephanie brings 25 years of legislative policy experience in public, private and non-profit sectors to CRS.

Starting her career with Senator John Breaux, she rose to Legislative Counsel primarily focused on energy issues before moving to the private sector. Returning to public service, Leger served as the Director of Louisiana’s D.C. office for Governor Kathleen Blanco and worked closely with state, local and federal governments in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. She also served as Deputy Projects Director for Senator Mary Landrieu helping secure funding for numerous projects in Louisiana through the appropriations process. Leger left the Senate to work for Securing America’s Future Energy, a non-profit focused on energy security, as Senior Director.

Since 2012, Stephanie has focused primarily on energy issues first working for and then representing a large domestic independent oil and gas exploration company.

A graduate of Louisiana State University, Stephanie holds a J.D. from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law.
