Todd has spent the better part of his career in the public policy arena as an advocate for multiple corporations and trade associations. Beginning his career in the United States Senate as an aide to former Senators Rick Santorum and Tim Hutchinson, Todd is widely recognized as one of the most effective policy advocates in the Washington community.
Todd has compiled an impressive array of legislative and regulatory successes over the past decade plus in practice areas ranging from tax law to energy and financial services. Todd is well known in Washington advocacy circles as a determined and dedicated representative of his clients’ interests, and as a skilled legislative tactician. With a wide set of bipartisan relationships in the House and Senate and unique insights into the inner workings of policy creation, Todd defines the outcome-based advocacy that defines the Crossroads team.
Prior to joining Crossroads, Todd served in the public law practices of SNR Denton and Arent Fox. Weiss maintains an active role in numerous campaigns and elections and is also active in state level lobbying. Weiss is a 1994 graduate of Hobart and William Smith College.
