“WHO IS PROJECTED TO HAVE A GOOD YEAR? PI continues its look into the second quarter Lobbying Disclosure Act numbers with a somewhat arbitrary snapshot of the financial health and growth potential of a few K Street government relations firms — both large, small and in between. In its rough estimation, six firms in its sample — Thorn Run, Crossroads Strategies, Gephardt Group, Republic Consulting, Daly Consulting Group and Shockey Scofield Solutions — are projected to see double-digit growth if they keep up current rate of billings. None of those firms are in the top 20 largest lobbying firms in the city — showing that boutique K Street operations are still where a lot of the growth is. Other firms projected to grow modestly this year: TwinLogic, Clark Geduldig Cranford & Nielsen, Fierce Isakowitz and Elmendorf Ryan — all outside the top 20. Other firms like Heather Podesta + Partners, Liberty Partners Group and Franklin Square Group are about on pace to do the same amount of business as last year.”
