Sam Adcock

Executive Vice President

Sam Adcock is an Executive Vice President at Crossroads Strategies, LLC. Sam primarily advocates for clients in the national security, federal procurement and transportation policy areas, providing strategic counsel, and direct advocacy with Members of Congress and the Administration.


Before joining CRS, he spent two decades as a senior executive in the defense and aerospace industry. During that tenure, Sam led numerous bid & proposal efforts, prosecuted countless capture efforts and led one of the largest integrated public affairs and lobbying campaigns related to a large prime contract competition and subsequent protest campaigns. Sam was recognized as one of the “Top Corporate Lobbyists” by the Hill Newspaper for six consecutive years.


He began his professional career as a Presidential Management Intern with the Department of Navy, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, working as a Project Officer on surface and submarine programs, as well as new construction and repair availabilities. Following the Navy, he transitioned to United States Senate as a Legislative Assistant responsible for defense and maritime issues for a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Within a few years, he was elevated to Policy Director for the Senator, and ultimately became the Director of Defense and Security Policy to the Senate Majority Leader.


In 1998, he was appointed to serve on the Long-range Airpower Panel, a congressionally mandated board to review and provide investment and programmatic recommendations to the Legislative and Executive branches of government on U.S. strategic aerial power projection capabilities.  Sam served on the Defense Science Board, an Advisory Committee to the Department of Defense, from 2002-2006.  In 2015, he was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the U.S. House of Representatives from the first Congressional District of Mississippi.
